The program started with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Muhammad Aqil bin Awang and a verse from the Quran along with the translation by Halim Anuar, followed by an opening remark from BSU’s president, Ak Muhammad Hisyam Al-Yura Pg Hj Zainal Abidin. Muhammad Aqil bin Awang the President of BruROSA began with an ice breaking session and followed by a motivational speech from Shaimaa’an Nabielah Abdul Rahman, the Vice President for Administration and Finance of BSU. The speech acted as an encouragement for the students to find their own passion for their prospects and paths in the future. The core of the first day of the program in Pusat Tingkatan Enam Sengkurong was the sharing session between the students and their facilitators, who are made up of students studying in the UK. During the sharing session, the students were free to discuss any challenges they have encountered or their experiences so far in their studies. The first half of the program in Pusat Tingkatan Enam Sengkurong was a success in creating bond and synergy between the students and their facilitators.

The second day of the Outreach Program 2018 “Encompassing Your Future: Ignite the Fire Within” in Pusat Tingkatan Enam Sengkurong took place on Sunday, 12th of August 2018. During the second half of the program, the upper sixth students participated in an “Amazing Race” to help strengthen the bond and teamwork among them, who will be facing the ‘A’ Levels exams together. The event was held in the morning, supervised by the Brunei Students’ Union in the UK (BSU) and Brunei Religious Officers Students Association (BruROSA) as well as facilitators who are made up of students from around the UK and Eire.

The last day of the program in Pusat Tingkatan Enam Sengkurong started with an aerobics session led by BSU members as a warm up activity. After the aerobics session, the students were then headed to the Multimedia Theatre where they were given a briefing for the “Amazing Race”, followed by an inspiring speech by one of the facilitators, Shuib Sahralidin. The program continued with the “Amazing Race”, which required the students to work and communicate well with each other to complete game checkpoints spread around the school. Afterwards, Siti Maisarah Zaliqah binti Awang Haji Ramli, the Vice President of BruROSA, explained each game and the meanings behind them. The essence of the race was to help the students understand better on how to plan, strategize and execute their actions as well as helping each other throughout the process, which can be applied to their studies. The program continued with another speech titled “Stop Studying and Start Learning” from the President of BruROSA Muhammad Aqil bin Awang.
