1st August 2018, Berakas – The Brunei Sudents’ Union in the UK and Eire (BSU) took part in the 13th National Youth Day Celebration held at the International Convention Centre, Berakas. Students who attended the event were from the high council of the Brunei Students’ Union in the U.K. and Eire and Brunei Religious Officers Student Association (BruROSA). The theme of the National Youth Day this year is ‘Belia Pemacu Brunei Maju’, focusing on fostering an ecosystem that continuously supports young entrepreneurs.
The student body had the opportunity to set up a booth at the main hall, as well as showcase the Brunei Students’ Union in the UK and Eire’s past events and the union’s achievements throughout the years to visitors. The highlight of the event was when His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam visited the booth. During His Majesty’s visit to the booth, two ‘Pesambah’s were presented. The first pesambah were a framed shirt symbolizing the BSU’s 59 years of standing and a book called ‘Journey To Jannah’ from BruROSA.

His Majesty’s visit was accompanied by Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Abdul Malik.
