INTRODUCTION: BELIA BERWAWASAN MENDUKUNG KEMAJUAN NEGARA
The theme for this year’s Majlis Bersama Rakyat focuses on the importance of the youth’s contribution to Brunei’s development.
This includes the youth’s role in being an essential asset to realise Brunei’s 2035 Vision, emphasising on the need for active participation and maximising their contribution to bring the country on par with developed countries. Hence, the nation are willing to largely invest in education, which includes sending students to study abroad in hopes of creating highly educated, capable, innovative and creative youth to contribute and be a benefit to the society and the country in the future.
However, outstanding and quality youth are not solely those who are well educated and highly skilled but should also have a firm Bruneian identity, is loyal/faithful to the country, strong/tough/resilient, able to compete in this world that is increasingly competitive and challenging. It has become a collective/consensual responsibility/obligation to raise awareness amongst the youth to take part and unite, working towards the development and progress of the country that has always been envisioned.
The theme comprises the aims of Brunei Vision 2035 as follows :
To accomplish the above goals, thirteen (13) strategies have been identified as follows :
Therefore, the government has put hope in the students to contribute back to the country through one of the 13 strategies mentioned above with relation to each student’s course.

1. To involve many participants among the students in supporting the activities organised by BSUnion;
2. To foster the spirit of cooperation among the students in United Kingdom and Ireland;
3. To promote the value of creativity among students; and
4. To build a patriotic spirit and love towards the country through the Product.

Registration must be submitted to The Brunei Students’ Union in United Kingdom and Eire (BSUnion) latest 5th July 2019, 11.59 pm.
